We collect only the minimum information needed to operate the platform:

• Account information: Your display name (handle) and email address when you create an account.
• Submitted content: Referral codes, descriptions, and associated details you submit to the platform.
• Usage data: Pages visited, codes viewed, votes cast, and interactions with the site.
• Messages: Private messages sent between users as part of the match request system.

We do not collect payment information, phone numbers, or government identifiers.

• To operate and maintain your account
• To send email notifications related to your match requests and messages
• To detect and prevent spam and fraudulent code submissions
• To display your handle on the leaderboard and alongside submitted codes
• To improve the platform based on usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising.

4. Affiliate links and commissions

RefShare AU contains affiliate links. When you click a "Visit Brand" button and sign up to a brand, we may receive a commission from the affiliate network. This commission comes from the brand, not from you. It does not affect the referral code or reward you receive.

All affiliate relationships are disclosed in our footer and where relevant throughout the site.

5. Who we share information with

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in Sydney, Australia)
• Vercel — website hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except where required by Australian law.

6. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase's Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region. We use row-level security to ensure users can only access their own private data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of marketing communications
